Matt Machado Construction is a Bakersfield-based general contracting company serving homeowners, business owners, and developers across Kern County, Tulare County, and the Central Valley.

We specialize in residential remodels, commercial construction, industrial builds, and ADU construction. Whether you’re looking to transform your home, expand your business, or add a rental unit to your property, we bring the same approach to every job: quality work, honest communication, and no shortcuts.

We are fully licensed and insured under the California State License Board and have built a reputation in this region by doing the work right and standing behind it.

Meet the Owner

I’m Matt Machado — a Bakersfield native, licensed general contractor, and the owner of Matt Machado Construction.

I started this company because I believed there was a better way to run a contracting business: show up when you say you will, be straight with people on pricing and timelines, and do work you’re proud to put your name on. That’s still the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.

I personally oversee our projects. When you hire MMC, you’re not getting handed off to a project manager you’ve never met — you’re working with me. I’m on-site, I’m accessible, and I’m accountable for the outcome.

Over the years we’ve completed residential remodels from simple bathroom updates to complete home transformations, commercial tenant improvements and ground-up builds, large-scale industrial installations, and ADU construction across Kern and Tulare Counties.
